    County Fair Prizes Awarded in Both Adults and Kids Categories:
  • First Place: $20
  • Second Place: $15
  • Third Place: $10

Bring Entries to Home Activities Building Beginning at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2009, for Judging


    Adult's Chocolate Dessert Contest Rules:
  1. Entry must be made from "scratch."
  2. A minimum of 1/4 cup of COCOA must be used and brand listed.
  3. If frosting is used and it's chocolate, COCOA must be used and brand listed.
  4. Dessert entry must be submitted on cardboard for judging (no doily required).
  5. Recipe(s) listing the ingredients, preparation instructions, and recipe author must be submitted with the entry, printed on one side of the page
  6. Judging will be based on the following criteria:
    Flavor 30 pts.
    Overall Appearance 25 pts.
    Moistness and Crumbs/Texture 20 pts.
    Consistency (Size and Shape) 15 pts.
    Creativity (Appearance, Ingredients, etc.) 10 pts.
    TOTAL 100 pts.

    Kid's Cookie/Brownie/Bar Contest Rules:
  1. Entry must be cookies, brownies, or bars made from "scratch."
  2. A minimum of 1/4 cup of CHOCOLATE BAKING CHIPS must be used and listed with the name of the specific chip variety in the recipe.
  3. If the entry has chocolate icing/drizzle, COCOA must be used and brand listed.
  4. Entry must be submitted as a plate of six (6) on a doily-covered cardboard.
  5. Recipe(s) listing the ingredients, preparation instructions, and recipe author must be submitted with the entry, printed on one side of the page
  6. Judging will be based on the following criteria:
    Flavor 30 pts.
    Overall Appearance 25 pts.
    Moistness and Crumbs/Texture 20 pts.
    Consistency (Size and Shape) 15 pts.
    Creativity (Appearance, Ingredients, etc.) 10 pts.
    TOTAL 100 pts.
